In this wonderful little documentary, Alan Bennett spends time at the Crown Hotel in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, quietly observing its varied clientele, whilst ruminating on the changing face of class structure and his own personal family history of hotel stays, warmly and wittily yet honestly and critically remembering his modest upbringing and the dinners at noon that it brought.
