Prison inmates Stan and Ollie, digging a ditch on work detail, cause untold havoc – including cutting down a tree housing a look-out guard and lodging a pick-axe in the radiator of a car – when the Governor and other dignitaries come to inspect their site, culminating in a free-for-all custard pie fight (actually rice-and-oil pie fight), in this diverting but rather tired Laurel and Hardy short.
