Most notable for pitting Karloff against Lugosi, this lacklustre Universal horror flick – filled with stilted dialogue, lifeless direction, and unconvincing performances – despite its brief running time and some striking photography, soon outstays its welcome and becomes rather tiresome. Iain.Stott
