Filled with crummy dialogue, hammy performances, and dodgy effects work, Craven’s admittedly stylish tale of a murdered serial killer enacting vengeance upon the children of his killers through their dreams provides, in some parts at least, good, camp, unintentionally funny, post-pub entertainment – in other parts, though, it is merely embarrassing.
