Just released from hospital following a failed suicide bid, Matthew Ryan, a teenager who lives alone with his perma-angry father in a south London council flat, still filled with regret and guilt over the disappearance of his eight-year-old brother, begins to hear the ghostly voice of his missing sibling, which sets him off on a course towards finding out the truth, in Kevorkian’s restrained and affecting if somewhat predictable feature debut.
