Dom Cobb, a corporate thief-for-hire who can enter people’s dreams and extract memories from their subconscious, is hired for the seemingly impossible task of memory inception by a Japanese businessman – a task he undertakes in the hopes of being reunited with his estranged children, in Nolan’s intricate and inventive piece of sci-fi, which often feels (possibly intentionally) more like a computer game than a film about human beings.
