As Neil Armstrong and chums prepare to land on the moon, a small boy is regaled with outlandish tales by a doddering old showman, who tells him of how 60 years earlier he and an eccentric research scientist became the first men to step foot on the Moon, which at that time had a breathable atmosphere, and of their eventful encounters with the Selenites (the Moon’s inhabitants), in Mark Gatiss’s gently entertaining adaptation of H.G. Wells’s novel. Iain.Stott
