The residents of an idyllic cul-de-sac become more and more curious about their new neighbours, the Klopeks, a mysterious, anti-social family who fail to keep their lawn in the immaculate condition that everyone else does – a curiosity that soon gives way to privacy-invading paranoia, breaking and entering, and finally destruction of property, in Dante’s hilarious, hugely entertaining social satire, which is let down a smidgen by its something-of-a-cop-out ending.
